
Bogdan Zvoristeanu, an alumni student and now teacher at the Academy, as well as first soloist of the world renowned Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
Bogdan has played as a soloist under the direction of Yehudi Menuhin, Andrey Boreyko, Pinchas Steinberg, Marek Janowski, Jin Wang, Fabio Luisi and Gilbert Varga. He also collaborated with great musicians like Alberto Lysy, Jeremy Menuhin, Bruno Pasquier, Brigitte Meyer, Liviu Prunaru, Emil Rovner, José Gallardo, Stanimir Todorov and Ettore Causa.
Over the years, the artistic value of Bogdan Zvoristeanu has become recognised worldwide, his musical stature has been confirmed by numerous prizes and awards in international competitions like: “Tibor Varga” in Sion, “Leopold Mozart” in Augsburg, “George Enescu” in Bucharest, the “Geneva International Violin Competition”, “Pierre Lantier” in Paris and many others. His achievements continue to grow as his magnificent career flourishes.
Bogdan Zvoristeanu plays a violin made by Nicolaus Gagliano which dates from 1761; its rich sound is captured perfectly on this double album. Recorded using 24 bit high resolution technology in the world renowned Dinemec Studio One Auditorium, the listener is guaranteed an awe inspiring audio experience.
