Camerata Lysy

The Camerata Lysy is the performing wing of the world famous International Menuhin Music Academy. Created by the legendary Alberto Lysy 30 years ago, the camerata has consistently been represented by the most talented young virtuosos from across the globe, renowned as one of the finest chamber ensembles today, not only for the technical brilliance but also for the fresh and spontaneous musicality.

Regular tours take them to the major musical centres, such as the Royal Festival Hall London, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées Paris, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Edinburgh Festival, the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, as well as to several countries in Europe and South America, to the United States, to Canada, to Japan, and China.

The Camerata Lysy has also given a great number of concerts with the IMMA's founder and mentor, the great violinist Yehudi Menuhin, and other renowned artists such as Maurice André, Antal Dorati, Maurice Gendron, Willhelm Kempff, Alfred Kontarky, Yo-Yo Ma, Nikita Magaloff, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Mstislav Rostropovitch and Igor Oistrakh.
