'With the release of our second album 'Its You' (the first one being 'Mister Mat', recorded in 1995), our trio has continued to explore working and interacting with one another. We have endeavoured to interpret jazz standards in an original way, while respecting a diverse sound unity and each musician's own musical language.' (Moncef Genoud)
This moncef Genoud record is an invitation to travel among already famous melodies, and others to be. Its an exchange of joy and good humour that takes place with the listener; an exchange based on the emotion and energy of the musicians, reinforced by the generosity and their desire to offer qulity music.
The album features classic 'standards' from such artists as Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Bill Evans and Pat Metheny. On top of these the album contains material exclusively written for this project.
