Seraphim
Released (1988)
Seraphim is Sutin's third album and he enlists the aid of noted rock guitarist Steve Howe to give the music an exciting new dimension. Howe plays pedal steel guitar, acoustic/electric guitars and the traditional Japanese Koto, all masterfully, augmenting Sutin's delightful keyboard work on piano, synthesizer and emulators. Additional musical contributors come from Carlo Bettini on synthesizers and Barry Shulman on flute and soprano sax. The result is a most enjoyable collection of eight original tunes that are a treat for any listener's ears. A superb album for those who are looking for a tasteful alternative to what mainstream radio offers these days.
