To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the world famous International Menuhin Music Academy, Dinemec Classics have released a brand new Double CD of the complete set of Bach partitas and sonatas for solo violin. Masterfully performed by Bogdan Zvoristeanu, an alumni student and now teacher at the Academy, as well as first soloist of the world renowned Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Considered as the summit of violin literature and deemed the toughest body of work to perform, ‘The Three Sonatas and Three Partitas for Violin without accompanied bass’ are amongst the most discussed pieces of classical music. Yehudi Menuhin recorded these pieces in the 1930’s and considered it one his flagship recordings, considering the occasion it is appropriate to pay these ‘divinely woven’ sounds yet another visit.
